Hundreds Gather For 10-Year-Old Gracie Snider's Memorial

Friends and family gathered Tuesday night to remember 10-year-old Gracie Snider.

Snider died in a car wreck outside of Ritzville on the way home from a soccer tournament on May 3, 2014. Snider’s soccer coach was driving the car. His daughter was also injured in the crash and was still recovering in a Seattle hospital on Tuesday.

The memorial at Life Center Church on Tuesday night was an emotional ceremony for the several hundred people in attendance.

Family said Snider was known for her colorful personality.

Pastor Moore was a source of faith for the Snider’s but was also the father of one of Gracie Snider’s teammates.

Moore said the memorial was about letting the world know the long lasting impact Snider’s short life would have.

Family and friends set up a memorial scholarship in Snider’s name. The money will fund soccer players who love to play but could not afford the costs. More than $25,000 had been raised by Tuesday night.
